My name is Shane Mitchell. I am the driller and owner of A1 Water Well Drilling and Service. I was born and raised in Winnsboro. Aside from the years I spent in Nacogdoches getting a degree in business, I have spent my whole life here. My wife, Katie, and I are raising four precious children in this community. I would have it no other way! I got started in the water well drilling industry as a matter of necessity. I was short of water during summer months at our poultry farms. I was forced to haul water seven days a week in the summers to make up for the deficit. I did not have the funds to hire the necessary wells drilled so I built a homemade rig and drilled the wells for myself. With a little luck and by God’s grace the wells that were drilled at my farms were so successful that neighbors and friends became interested in hiring me to do for them what I had done for myself.
