About Benzie County

Benzie County in northwest Michigan borders Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake, with sandy glacial outwash soils that drain rapidly and are generally well-suited to conventional septic systems. The high concentration of seasonal cottages and year-round homes near the shoreline creates steady demand for septic pumping, inspection, and well services to protect the region's clear inland lakes.
